10/10 I have used TTRS successfully with a range of leraners for well over 20 years. I've given talks and workshops, keynote speeches at conferences, and even carried out scientific research that shows TTRS's effectiveness. It's a great program!

Eleanor May, Orpington, United Kingdom , Teacher

10/10 TTRS is a great programme, especially for Year 6 students in transition. They gain a useful skill and revise all of their spelling patterns at the same time.

Michelle Rock , Teacher

10/10 TTRS is a great typing program. It's the first program I've come across that is close to the good old way we learned in the 80s on real typewriters. All of the fluff in the other programs I looked at was a distraction and didn't help my kids.

Diane Stodola , Parent

10/10 This program is easy to use and progressive.

Brett G, Cheam, UK , Parent

10/10 I think it is fabulous that they hear the words, see them and type them! What a great way to learn!

Jane Branscomb, FL, USA , Parent

10/10 My daughter absolutely loves this program. She thinks of TTRS more as a typing lesson than help with her dyslexia, which is fine by me!

Rachel Turner , Homeschooling Mum of 10

10/10 I have a dyslexic daughter who is approaching middle school. The need for her to practice spelling is important, but the need to communicate well, especially in written form, is imperative. TTRS offers a multi-approach system to help her continue on her quest to master language, despite the challenges she faces.

Michele R. , Parent

10/10 My son is dyslexic and he doesn't need adult supervision when using the TTRS course, it allows him to be right for over 90% of the time, and the learning happens without him realising it. This program is great for dyslexic children.

Johnny Thwaites , Parent

10/10 As a Private Literacy Tutor, I have been using TTRS for close to 10 years. While getting students up and running with their reading, TTRS has the potential to take struggling readers to the next level, allowing them to not only read and spell, but to finally put their thoughts and their homework onto the page! TTRS offers invaluable peace of mind for parents and students alike!

Joanne Webb , Private Literacy Tutor

9/10 With TTRS the children enjoy it, it's quick to set up and it's easy to run. The literacy focus is also great and overall it is the best touch typing programme I've used.

Louise Venning , Parent

10/10 My kids have learned to type and spell with the TTRS program. Thank you!

Catherine Riddle , Parent

10/10 TTRS has been a positive experience for my son. As a homeschooling mom of seven children, I noticed that one of my sons was taking an extra long time learning to read fluently, and he wasn't always reading from left to right. So I've had him using TTRS for the past two years (2nd and 3rd grade), and he is doing so much better! I feel like he is basically over his difficulties and no longer needs TTRS. However, if I see any reading or spelling trouble in the coming school year, I will not hesitate to sign him up for TTRS again! Thank you for creating this wonderful program. With its short, well-crafted lessons, TTRS is a part of our school day that is quick and painless for both the parent and the child. I recommend it without hesitation.

Susan Peterson , Parent

10/10 The TTRS program is very user friendly for students.

Yvette McDonald , Parent

10/10 I have found it helps the pupils I work with who have spelling difficulties to develop muscle memory for the keys. For those learners who have handwriting difficulties, they feel as if they have control over the quality and legibility of their work when they can type.

Sarah D. , Homeschooler

10/10 My dyslexic child disliked every typing program I offered her until we found TTRS. She not only loves it, but she's also learned how to read and spell better. That is a win, win, win for me!

10/10 I have found TTRS to be an excellent teaching and learning resource for my students, particularly those on the Autistic Spectrum. TTRS allows learners to work independently and at their own pace. It gives immediate feedback and positive reinforcement which is so important in encouraging and motivating learners to improve and progress. I would hope that my comment encourages other education practitioners to discover the value of TTRS as a learning and teaching tool for use with students who have a variety of learning disabilities and complex needs.

Christine Simpson , Parent

9/10 I appreciate the incremental advancement of skills with TTRS. There is no time penalty, a clear layout, and no letting students go on without correcting an error. It's also easier to follow visually than other programs. No frills and no distractions.

Vicki Balogh , Homeschool

10/10 We've tried and completed a few free programs, but with this one learning seems to stick best. My older kids are asking to do it now because my younger two are better at typing than they are! It has also really helped my youngest with dyslexia and doesn't make her feel like a baby. She's learning to type, not review basics :).

Stephanie Howard , Parent

10/10 I bought this for my 10 year old grandson because he struggles with writing and spelling. We homeschool, and he is loving this. He asks to do TTRS first thing in the morning, and keeps going until I make him stop. We are seeing improvement already.

Elizabeth Z , Homeschooler

10/10 My son needed help and motivaton to practice reading. My daughter needed help with spelling. They both were asking to learn to type so they can type their papers instead of write everything by hand. Touch-type Read Spell has been the perfect solution! I've seen marked improvement in my son's reading, my daughter's spelling, and they are learning to type! We are all big fans.

Sara W , Parent

10/10 TTRS offers short lessons with no distractions and teaches actual words. It's easy to follow thanks to the animated hands, and has a logical progression. It's online, so there's no software to worry about.

Heather Dziak , Parent

10/10 My daughter is in 4th grade and we just started using this program. I can already see the benefits. She is not going to have bad habits that she will have to undo. I love the visual instruction as well as the auditory element. She was frustrated the first couple days because she wanted to "hand peck" but now she is seeing why it's so important to learn correct position from the start. We will continue to use this program. I would definitely recommend it.

T. Carlson , Parent

10/10 I've been using TTRS with all 3 boys for the last week. It's early days but the really short modules with scores at the end spur them on each time. My youngest is dyslexic and he doesn't look at it as learning, but rather gaining a new skill. This makes him much more willing to do it alongside his brothers. It's a life long skill they are gaining.

Nici , Parent

10/10 TTRS is great! My 14 year old stays engaged and is learning to type correctly and quickly, and I love the audio. I've told so many people about it and how positive it has been for my dyslexic daughter.

Debra Jensen , Teacher, Lumen Scholar Institute

10/10 I like the on-screen hands and how the programme shows the finger positions for each letter to be typed, together with saying the letter or word. My son has started slowly and appears to be progressing well.

A G-S , Parent

10/10 The instructions are very clear and my daughter, who is very slow in following instructions, gets it. She actually enjoys practising with TTRS every day.

Blanka Hlavova , Riverhouse Montesorri

7/10 I currently have one 5th grade student with dyslexia using this program and he seems to be more productive on it than any other typing program I have tried.

Wendy E , Teacher, East Central Elementary School

10/10 I'm so happy to have found this program. I use it with my middle schooler who struggles with spelling. We were both getting so frustrated and it's disheartening to do spelling below your age level. I told her we were stopping spelling and would be doing typing instead. Since her older sister did a typing program, this seemed fine to her. I only refer to it as her typing program when we discuss assignments but her spelling is definitely improving! Will she be entering the spelling bee? No. But her writing assignments go much more smoothly and she's more confident about her spelling now. I'm about to renew for a third year.

Amylee , Homeschooler

10/10 I have been using TTRS for my daughter who is dyslexic and it has helped her tremendously.

Sylvie Hall , Parent

This program has been a great learning tool for my son who is 11, has ADD, dyslexia, and Asperger's. I introduced it to him as a tool to help him learn how to type. I said nothing about the spelling. I simply set a timer for 20 minutes and tell him to see how much he can get done during that time. After 6 months, he is now flying through the lessons! His typing speed has increased, but more importantly, his ability to spell has improved. He is working on spelling without realizing it, so he is relaxed instead of stressing out. I am very thankful to have discovered this program!

L. Morris , Homeschooler

10/10 Thanks to TTRS all three of my students are now up and running, or shall I say typing!! I can't say enough about this wonderful program.

Kelly , Parent

TTRS is a simple idea that is very well executed. It has a strong theoretical background, with a clean interface, and lots of flexibility in its presentation that can be configured to individual needs. A welcome update to a tried and tested resource.

ERA - Education Resource Awards , March 2017 - Winner of category: Special Education Resource or Equipment Including ICT

10/10 TTRS is great! I like that there are no gimmicks, just typing. Plus, it's easy. There are lots of levels and it progresses at just the right pace. It also combines OG (Orton and Gillingham) words to spell. If your children happen to be dyslexic like mine are, this is very helpful. Typing is one of the most important skills a childvcan have, and TTRS combines spelling and typing. The words/letters to type are read aloud by a jolly British chap, so if your child has difficulty reading or spelling, it doesn't factor into the program, and they have a great degree of success! My sons use it with no fuss.

Jennifer , Homeschooler

10/10 I really like TTRS! I use it and my kids do too!

Lawrie Arias , Arias Adventure Academy

10/10 It seems to be paced just right for my 10 year old son!

Beth Tippie , Parent

10/10 My daughter loves this program!

Jamie Turner , Parent

9/10 I have read many posts about the benefits of TTRS. I am half-way through the course and am taking it myself to encourage my 12 year old daughter with her own spelling and touch typing. My daughter has mild / moderate hearing loss and struggles with spelling and sounds. This course reinforces all of the phonetic spelling sound rules. I haven't read any other comments from deaf learners about the benefits for children and adults with hearing loss, but TTRS works! As an adult learner I am thoroughly enjoying it and would recommend it to other parents too.

Claire Heath , Parent

10/10 TTRS was the best thing we did for my son. He is now 13 and took the course in Year 6 during which time he came on leaps and bounds! I'd highly recommend this program!

Sara Murray , Parent

10/10 This programme has been a huge help to my severely dyslexic son. Before starting TTRS, he believed he could not write. Now he is writing brilliant stories, scripts, comic strips, etc.

Zoe H , Parent

10/10 TTRS is easy to use, I like the short modules, and it seems to be working. The online access is great so pupils can work on it at home and in their own time if they are disciplined.

Gail Murray , Specialist Teacher, Prestfelde

8/10 It's still very early days for us, but I can see my daughter becoming empowered by this course.

Patricia Gallagher , Parent

Jo Richards , Parent

10/10 Wow. In three days we've seen a positive improvement in our son's confidence and his ability to grasp the material. He said "Mom, I'm meeting my goal! I love this. Thank you mom!" He's an 11 years old boy who didn't speak until he was 5. The TTRS program has been amazing for him.

Kimberly Imanian , Parent

10/10 This is a great resource for homeschoolers! We love it because teaching at home comes with many challenges. With TTRS you can combine different learning styles into one, and it allows for more ways to connect your children with what they need to put into their memory! Thanks TTRS.

Johanna , Parent

10/10 I find TTRS correlates well with remedial spelling lessons.

10/10 My son finds this course easy to follow. The levels are short enough for him not to get bored, and repetitive enough for him to remember.

Clare Thomas , Parent

10/10 This is such a well organised programme. It is really helpful and very good for children who need extra help with reading, spelling and writing. Thank you!

Catherine Burns , Teacher, St John's CEP

10/10 My son is dyslexic and could not spell many words before he began this program. He can spell better than ever now and thanks to TTRS is continuing to learn and grow. As far as he's concerned, he is just learning how to type, but his increased spelling ability is coming across in his writing. Thank you for helping my child!

Linda Morris , Morris Academy of Excellence

10/10 I think this program is excellent. The boys who have been doing it have become more confident spellers as well as learning to touch type.

Debra Phippen , Teacher, Penleigh & Essendon Grammar School

10/10 I like TTRS because it is more than just a touch-typing tutor. No adult supervision is needed - and students can't be made wrong which is important to a dyslexic learner. The only thing that a human can do is gently remind them about which finger on which key. Students take ownership of the process, in the same way they do an X-box game etc.

Johnny Thwaites , Parent

10/10 We use TTRS three times a week and it is a great program. It definitely helps both with touch-typing and spelling.

Noah Marland , Student

10/10 My kids love TTRS and are excited to log in every day.

Rachel Irwin , Homeschooler

10/10 My students are very enthusiastic about TTRS, and I can clearly see a progression. I also love the fact that they are practicing spelling and reading without even noticing it.

Marianne Nielsen , Teacher, Skagerak International School, Sandefjord, Norway

9/10 The kids love this program and it is working.

Lynda Peel , Homeschooler

10/10 My son was diagnosed with dyslexia this summer. This program is a great way to incorporate learning how to type and repetition, which is important for him to learn. Even better, he looks forward to doing his typing every day.

KC , Homeschooler

10/10 We've had feedback that TTRS is a valuable resource for some of the children who have been using it.

Simon Davidson , Teacher

10/10 TTRS helps speed up students' skills in learning new words and enjoy typing at the same time. I've also found it helps them to learn how to sit up properly.

Jyoti Benawra , Teacher, Acton High School, UK

10/10 TTRS is an excellent product that really helped my daughter.

Julie Collington , Parent

9/10 TTRS works great. I like the multisensory approach.

Eamon McClorey , Teacher, St Patrick's Primary School

9/10 TTRS is easy to use with short modules so they can do a little every day. It also gives great immediate feedback.

Louise Bishop , Home user

10/10 As a school teacher and a parent of a child that has used TTRS, I know it is beneficial to children who have difficulties with reading and spelling because of dyslexia. TTRS is a great additional learning tool.

Erica Burnage , Teacher

8/10 TTRS is a great program and my daughter has done well with it.

Jennifer Meyer , Parent

10/10 My experience with TTRS has been really positive.

Sally Topley , Parent

10/10 I've been teaching this programme for over 10 years to students/parents with dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD, ASD. Although it can sometimes take time for a learner to 'get to grips' with co-ordination of the finger work, with a little patience they have always succeeded.

Caroline Moir , Teacher

10/10 TTRS has been an invaluable addition to our homeschooling! The typing has helped my dysgraphic son enormously and his spelling is slowly improving through daily exposure to TTRS. This is a programme we intend to use for a good while to come.

Emma , Homeschooler

10/10 Even if a student is not dyslexic, TTRS helps with spelling. It is also helpful for students with mild to moderate disability.

Mandy Budge , Founder/Head - Multikids Inclusive Academy

10/10 This innovative product combines the development of several skills at once: typing, reading, and spelling. So far, my dyslexic son is using it to build knowledge and reinforce the simple words, so he doesn't lapse back. I wish we had used this about 2 years ago, when he was in 4th grade, or even sooner.

V. Kluth , Parent and Homeschooler

10/10 I think TTRS is an excellent programme! A thorough, well devised course. My 14 year old son is doing very well with it.

Cathy Allenby , Parent

10/10 I feel this program is well presented and a wonderful way to learn how to type.

Donna Hall , Parent

10/10 This program is really helpful because it teaches a vital life skill for young people. It's easy to use and I wish it had been around when I was at school! I have seen pupils benefit from using TTRS and have also had positive feedback from parents.

Mo Hammond , Teacher

10/10 My 6 year old first grader is doing very well and enjoying the Touch-type Read Spell program. It's very simple to use and she seems to zoom right through the lessons with ease. As a parent, it's easy to get a specific report on what she has been learning and I can print a record of the progress if need be. I highly recommend this course to anyone wanting their child to learn the basics of typing. It's especially great for beginner readers as they quickly move to short words and sentences.

Danielle C , Parent and Homeschooler

10/10 My daughter is much more willing to do this typing program than the other ones we tried. We bought it based on recommendations for it being helpful for dyslexic children and have just started using it.

Joy B , Parent and Homeschooler

10/10 I am so thankful for TTRS! I purchased this program very tentatively for my 14 year-old. We wanted it for typing and because my son was dreadfully behind in spelling. I had chatted with one of the representatives of TTRS and she spoke highly of the way that that the program taught the student how to spell without "teaching the student how to spell." Well, she was right! We are only a few months in and my son has gained more confidence than I have been able to teach him in YEARS with other curricula. And, he can type! The best thing is he doesn't know that he's learning to spell. That's a big thing for him. Spelling has been such a blow to his confidence that he was striking out before he picked up the bat, so to speak. With this, he's learning so fast and so well that he hasn't had the chance to second guess himself, so he's really, truly, finally learning! I cannot recommend this product enough!

Sue Taylor , Parent and Homeschooler

10/10 We did a trial of the TTRS program and among our participants were three dyslexic students who had basically hit a wall in their learning. They loved the program! They became very competitive with it too! It was awesome to see. They transitioned to Junior High this year and continue to be successful. I have already recommended the program to several other schools in our area.

Cathy Pennington , Director of Programs and Services Poolville ISD

10/10 I've tried a couple of other typing programs, but my daughter would always use the wrong fingers just to win the 'games.' She has some spelling and reading issues so this program seemed to be a good fit. She likes TTRS and is using the correct fingers. I'm very pleased and we will continue to use it.

N. Miller , Parent

10/10 This is an absolutely fabulous computer program. My son used it at school and it was amazing how quickly he learned to type. His reading greatly improved as well.

Candace , Parent

10/10 I have seen a REMARKABLE improvement in my son's reading and spelling ability in the 3 weeks he's been using this program. Thank you TTRS!

Talynn , Parent (via Twitter)

10/10 I love this tool for typing and reading reinforcement.

Sharon L , Parent

10/10 I decided to try TTRS for my girls ages 11 and 13. So far, I don't even have to remind them to get it done! They love this program. At first I was a little hesitant because of the cost, but now I think it was worth it.

Shanon C , Parent

10/10 My daughter has been using this program for a few weeks now. She is enjoying TTRS, and finding that the course is helping her spelling and typing. When she first began the program, her typing skills were non-existent and she struggled with spelling. When she went back and did a review of the lessons she had already done, she was receiving 95%+ on the spelling assessments.

B Church , Parent and Homeschooler

10/10 We have been using TTRS for a month and so far the children are enjoying it.

Ellie , Parent

10/10 This year I added Touch Type Read Spell TTRS to my 3rd grader's school load and he LOVES it. He has so much fun doing it everyday and I love it too! Learning to type is a very important skill to pick up early because it can make all work done on a computer quicker. Plus, he's working on spelling and reading at the same time. One more bonus is he's also learning to play piano so I tell him when he's practicing piano that it's like TTRS, you need both hands to press the keys and your eyes are up reading notes. We're definitely continuing to use TTRS and telling our friends about it. Thank you!

Christina Iokia , Parent

10/10 I came across the Touch-type Read and Spell (TTRS) programme in 2009 and contacted the TTRS agent here in Ireland to arrange to have a trial. Being a touch-typist myself, I am aware of the benefits of having such a skill. For students such as ours, who all have a diagnosis of a Mild Intellectual Disability, help in this area is a real bonus, particularly as our society now relies so heavily on this type of communication. Our students practice with TTRS daily as much as possible. I aim to have them complete 5 modules as a base – some do more, some less. All have a degree of success, some surprisingly so. It improves co-ordination on the keyboard, as well as knowledge of where letters are, and the various functions of different keys. There is a sense of achievement on completion of each module, and of course on receiving a certificate at the end of the year - not to mention the spelling and reading of different words. Some students really like to be focused in this manner, particularly those who are on the autistic spectrum.

10/10 My 14 year-old has a very slow processing speed. He is showing improvements in understanding when he reads thanks to TTRS. He has also found it useful to follow the Alpha to Omega spelling techniques, using alternative forms of alphabets like wooden Bana-gram letters.
