My children's confidence is soaring!

My children, ages 9 and 10, have been using TTRS for about 3 months. They both struggle with reading and one with handwriting. I discovered TTRS and felt it would be a supplement to our home education endeavors. I was right! Both boys really enjoy the lessons and score above 90% each time. It has improved their typing skills, reinforced their reading and spelling skills, and even reinforced maintaining good spacing in their handwriting. They now say "Space" after writing a word just as the typing program prompts which has greatly improved the legibility of their writing.

What are the advantages of typing for children who struggle with reading?

They can...

  • Build phonics knowledge
A structured, literacy-based curriculum lays the groundwork for success in decoding and spelling.
  • Increase reading fluency
An audio component supports decoding and repeat exposure to sight words builds both fluency and speed.
  • Learn new words
Acquire new vocabulary and use an in-app dictionary to help with comprehension.
  • Reduce anxiety and build stamina
Regular typing practice lowers anxiety, builds stamina, and helps individuals gain confidence in their learning.
  • Boost self-esteem and confidence
Positive feedback from typing activities can significantly improve self-esteem and motivation, especially for those with a history of educational challenges.

Confidence booster for reading

Reading has been such a battle for my son. After starting TTRS, his reading/spelling began to improve. His confidence grew as well. I only regret not starting TTRS sooner. I'm so grateful.
