Using Education Funds to Purchase Touch-type Read and Spell (TTRS)

How to pay for TTRS using an ESA account
Many families in the United States use education savings accounts (ESAs), scholarship programs, or school district funds to pay for Touch-type Read and Spell (TTRS) — a literacy and typing program designed to support learners with dyslexia, dysgraphia, ADHD, and other learning differences.
TTRS is currently an active/approved vendor in the following states: Arizona, Arkansas, Indiana, New Hampshire, Ohio, Utah, Wyoming.

How it works
Each state has its own process for using education funds (ESAs, EFAs, or scholarship programs) to purchase Touch-type Read and Spell (TTRS). Some programs use ClassWallet or Odyssey, while others handle payments or reimbursements directly through state portals.
General steps
- Check your state’s program to see how it works.
- Start a TTRS free trial to receive your login details.*
- Contact support via our contact page, including your trial details and your intention to use state funds.
- Follow your state’s instructions. Depending on your program, you may submit an invoice through ClassWallet, Odyssey, or request reimbursement.
- Transition to a paid account. Once payment is processed, your trial account will automatically switch to a full subscription.
*If you already have a TTRS account, there is no need to set up a free trial. Simply send us a message via our contact page requesting an invoice that you can submit to your state's program.
